Pizza is just about impossible on a keto diet. Sure, there are cauliflower bases and someone does a chicken base. But I've never experienced a portabella mushroom base like I did here and it was off the charts. Yep, they take two large mushroom caps and top them just like a pizza.
I chose the "bottoms up loaded" which had all the usual goodies. Sausage, ground beef, ham, pepperoni, onions and green peppers and mushrooms but on a large mushroom cap. It was delicious and just like a pizza but with no carbs. Perfect.
They offer a beer flight here, but the beers are preselected. So I ended up having one with pumpkin spice and I did not care for that at all. Better if they'd let the patrons pick how they want their beer put together.
Still, a great pizza in a convenient location. I found free street parking. Good luck to you searching for same.

Came here on a very slow Thursday night, and we sat rooftop.
Unmatched, delicious pizza with a thick and flaky crust you would kill for.
Service has room for improvements, but we'd still recommend. -

We came here for a late lunch on a Wednesday at 3:00! My family had been here before but it was my first time...
I will start out by saying it is not located in the busier (nicer?) part of the city, but more so beneath the rail way tracks (?) and in a really trashy area... it smelled really bad too. So, just judging by the environment, I was extremely skeptical.
Inside Bottoms Up, we were greeted by a hostess and the waitress almost immediately. The menu doesn't just focus on pizza - there are salads and sandwiches and nothing fancy.
I opted for the single slice of cheese pizza since it said it would be a 1/4 of a pizza! It ended up being really good, despite being a pan style and really greasy! The others got an order of nachos and a club sandwich.
The reason for the three stars is that my silverware was dirty. That is unacceptable and disgusting... sorry. I'm not sure how wrapping silverware in napkins and not noticing dirty silverware is possible, but apparently it is...
It seems like an OK place - there were only a couple other people dining out, so it didn't really seem like a hot spot. But I could be wrong... probably wouldn't go back... -

At first glance the restaurant looked like a cool hole in the wall. Underneath a bridge and close to some train tracks it definitely had a grungy vibe. Great place to go with a group but maybe not an anniversary spot. We opted to sit outside because it was a beautiful day and because isn't it always better to sit outside?
Our waitress came pretty quickly and was really nice. On top of that she checked on us periodically. Often times, in my experience, waiters might come twice because they don't rotate outside a lot or when it's busy.
Up until this point I was pumped for the food and ready to dig in. We ordered the mozzarella tracks because what's a better precursor to pizza than a white pizza? They were delicious. Essentially garlic breadsticks with mozzarella melted on top served with marinara sauce. However that's when the magic ended. For our entrees we ordered the barbecue pizza thin crust and the Mexican pizza with high hopes. That's when we were let down. The barbecue pizza just looked thrown together. The chicken was dry and the crust made up too much of the slice. The Mexican pizza was a bit better because it was deep dish but the flavor from the meat was lacking. However, of the two pizzas, the Mexican pizza was perfectly decent.
Beyond the pizzas what really made the experience awful were the flies. While we ate the appetizers everything was fine but as soon as the pizzas came out we were swarmed by at least ten flies. We had to cover up our food with napkins and constantly make sure the food was safe. Our waitress came back multiple times to fill up our cups but didn't even acknowledge their presence. Her service was great but her lack of acknowledgement was pretty annoying. We ended up getting boxes and taking our food home soon after.
Now if the pizza was merely adequate at the restaurant it was just not good reheated. The next day I ate some more and immediately was running to the bathroom.
Final verdict: if this pizza was cheaper it would be worth it, but a medium pizza is 18 dollars and a thin crust is 14. For those prices you could go to pupatella or mellow mushroom for a fancier slice at the same price. Honestly I wouldn't rank bottoms up much higher than Papa Johns. Still though, it's deep dish at a cool spot and a good place to grab a drink. -
